Where in the world is Chronicle?

Chronicle, North Carolina is an unincorporated town centered around the intersection of NC-16 Business and NC-150, Killian Crossroads. The community is nestled at the foot of Anderson Mountain in Catawba County, just north of the Lincoln County border.

The area surrounding Killian Crossroads has been called Chronicle since at least 1851, when the first Chronicle post office was opened.

We are The Chronicle Chronicle, your local newspaper dedicated to providing hyper-local reporting for the Chronicle area. Our mission is to bring you news, history, current events, local opinions, and more, all in the interest of fostering community in our little corner of Catawba County.

Our organization is made up entirely of volunteer writers & reporters from the community (yes, we work for free!), so you never have to pay a penny for this service.
